Due to a lapse in federal funding, the Camp Lejeune Claims Unit (CLCU) employees have been furloughed. You may continue to access the Navy Website at www.navy.mil/clja, as well as, the Claims Management Portal at https://clclaims.jag.navy.mil. Claims processing is paused for the duration of the furlough. Additionally, due to the lapse in appropriations, the Treasury Judgment Fund operations have been suspended, and settlement payments will not be disbursed until the shutdown has ended. If you have a settlement offer that may surpass the 60-day response window during the furlough period, please wait to submit your documentation since the CLCU cannot accept or process any settlements until appropriations have been passed. The Department of Justice and the Department of the Navy will review those cases once operations resume to ensure that claimants are not disadvantaged.
